On large canvasses with stark colours and expressive forms Patrick is interested in the point at which recognisable scenes or images verge on the brink of abstract.
'Working with layer upon layer where objects are repeatedly defined then abused I am trying to allow for a violent and expressive process while constantly tethering it to redefine form and faithful colour.'
Patrick is currently working towards an exhibition under 2013.
